Going through tough times? Or know someone who is?
Here’s something I wrote a little while ago, inspired in part by friend and chief ninja Graham’s September productivity experiment: The Lemon.
It’s a bit different from what I normally post here… I hope you find it encouraging.
Blessings for the crazed and confused
When things in life fall apart, may even better things come together
When nothing makes sense, may you experience peace that defies logic
When you’ve no idea where you are, let alone where you’re going, may you find ground beneath your feet and treasure in your hand
When you feel let down and beaten up, may your faith in humanity be restored
When you are forced to wait, may you be surprised and delighted by the unexpected
When strength and sensibility runs out, may grace and grit sustain you
When all things seem impossible, may you know that love wins
May joy find you in the midst of sadness
And hope be birthed in the darkest of times
When walking through hell, may you keep walking, and find heaven on earth
May the sun shine on your face and bring you new life every morning
May the arms that hold the heavens hug you tight as you sleep tonight
And when life gives you lemons may you make amazing lemonade.
A really lovely post Grace and one that I can really relate to. Sometimes we just need something like this to read once in a while to give us hope and faith. Lovely words which I will be printing out and putting on the wall!! Thank you so much for sharing this.
You’re so welcome Carmen. I was struck with so many friends going through tough times, so this was my attempt at writing something to speak life into those situations. Thanks for your encouraging feedback!
I’m considering getting it designed into a poster that you can print out Carmen – would that be something of value?
Grace….I was directed to this post by Carmen. It’s absolutely beautiful. The last 4 lines in particular really moved me. Thankyou. xx
